Elle attended Camp in the City last week. This was something we have been looking forward to big time. It was the first year Elle was old enough to go and was hosted by First Baptist and basically the camp is a traveling camp. The amazing staff travel from town to town and set up at churches and they have quite the set up! Huge jumpies/slides/ rope course like things. They did all kinds of water activities every day along with bible study and large group time. Elle came home exhausted every single day but loved it. She was in a small group with lots and lots of her friends and then they combined with the other small group that was the rest of her friends. It rained a lot of the week because of Tropical Storm Cindy coming up from the gulf but the camp just made the best of it and they would play in the rain which of course was exciting.
The camp also had this great app that would notify you if they took a picture of your child, post their bible study from that day and we could also ready about their counselors and watch highlight videos. It was so well done and I of course loved the updates because since she was gone all day I was missing her!

Arts and crafts on the day they were all supposed to wear pink!
Elle so excited to arrive because they would line up as you were pulling in and cheer!
All the girls at the camp. Elle is second row middle.
Some of our good friends- Catherine and Abigail.
Have to throw in a picture of Walker of course. I loved how he was sitting.

On Friday, Kenny left for Tampa early that morning but Walker and I were able to attend the closing program for camp. It was cute. They sang a lot of their songs and talked about the week they had along with showing the highlight video. Then after the songs each child was presented with their character qualities by their camp counselor. We were so proud of Elle. She was given the character qualities-capable, gregarious and gentle.
Walker and I waiting on the campers to arrive.
Looking for our girl in the crowd.
There she is.
