Almost a month behind in blogging! Whoo wee! I am determined to catch up this week while I have small amounts of free time while Elle is at Camp in the City all week! I have all the posts with their pictures ready so just going to try and hammer them all out! I refuse to let this little old blog die on me now!
So back in May! Which is so crazy to write because Elle was still in school and we are in full swing summer now! Anyway back in May for Mother's Day weekend we drove down to south Mississippi for our annual college reunion crawfish boil. This year we were having it down in Waveland and Bay St. Louis area so on Friday we picked Elle up from school and drove down to Hattiesburg to spend the night with my mom. Our intentions were to take her to a low key dinner for Mother's Day. We decided on a place called Ed's because it is causal and we thought the kids would enjoy it because they have games and stuff kids can play. But after a long day of school and PDO and then a car ride they were in totally foul moods. Especially Walker. The evening ended up being a total bust until we got back to CeCe's house where the kids were much more content to bath and then play with the toys CeCe has! Lesson learned on that one!
CeCe and Walker ended up going home a little bit before us because he was melting down. Kenny and I stayed with Elle to have one of their famous milkshakes. It was huge and very delicious!
Elle wasn't sure what to think!
The kids Saturday morning presenting CeCe with her card and gift card to her favorite spa!
Early Saturday morning we hit the road for Waveland. We went straight to Megan and Patrick's house where we loaded up and headed to the beach for the morning. We stayed until mid afternoon. Everyone else met us there too and the kids had the best time playing together in the water and sand. We packed a lunch and lots of snacks and of course some adult beverages for the grown ups and it was really relaxing because the kids were so content! It was such a fun day!
Mid afternoon the boys left to go get all the crawfish stuff and we ran back to Megan's house to change really quickly before we made our way over to Kristen's house on the bay! That is where we had the crawfish boil. It is a beautiful house with a beautiful view! We rented a huge blow up water slide and the kids had the best time playing on it all afternoon. We barely saw Elle the whole day because she was just so happy playing with Francis and Augustine and everyone else. Walker was happy to play with my friend Rachael's little boys and Tracy's little girl Mae! Joe cooked the crawfish as he always does and they were so delicious! The party lasted late into the night and we finally left around 10 to go back and sleep at Megan and Patrick's house. The kids fell asleep in the car almost immediately!

Sunday was Mother's Day and Kenny and the kids gifted me with cards they had colored and some gift cards to my favorite places. We spent the actual day driving home mostly. Which was fine with me! It had been such a fun weekend! We got home and got the kids bathed and they fell asleep at 5:30 so a little extra Mother's Day present for me. Kenny and I ordered take out and watched a movie together. It was a nice way to end the weekend!
The next morning Walker was so excited to host me at his preschool for Muffins with Mom. They had big blueberry muffins and roses for each of the moms. He was so excited to have me there and I enjoyed doing something that was just for him! He and I took some of the sweetest pictures. I loved how happy he was and the way he kept looking at me while I was there!
