We had a really really great and magical Christmas! I could not have asked for it to be better. The kids were so happy and gracious and played well together with their new toys. CeCe and Nanee came in town mid morning and we opened presents with them. We stayed in our pajamas all day and watched Christmas movies. For all the hectic rush of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day was a much slower pace and very relaxed.
We put a gate at the top of the stairs to try and keep the kids from coming down on Christmas Eve but that didn't slow Elle down too much. She woke us up around 3AM after I am sure she got a eyeful of what Santa brought her. But we did talk her into getting into the bed with us for a little while. I don't think she ever went back to sleep though. Walker came down through the knocked over gate around 5AM and then we all got up. Next year we plan to wrap the entire stairwell entrance in wrapping paper to keep them from coming through. I saw it on Facebook and think that is a brilliant idea!
I did get some really cute pictures of the kids in front of the tree that I had not been able to
take the night before in their Christmas pajamas and that made me really happy.
Walker trying on his new dinosaur mask from Santa.
Elle and her friend Audrey Caroline asked for Dolly Parton dolls
and Santa managed to deliver one to both of them.
Loving on her new American Girl doll.
Elle was super excited to receive some earrings from us meaning she could get her ears pierced.
Last year I got Elle to take a picture of Kenny and me on Christmas
morning and had her do the same this year.

CeCe and Walker about to open his big Paw Patrol firetruck.
Elle loved getting this Wicked book from Nanee.
CeCe surprised Elle with a Polaroid camera that she was
so excited about and has had so much fun with since.
Elle got a new make up kit and did makeovers on everyone including Kenny and Walker!
Tired worn out babies on Christmas Day.
Even Nannee needed some rest and snuggled up with Charlie.
