KICKING OFF THE SUMMER- A THIS AND THAT POST

So as school winded down the pool opened up and we pretty much set up camp there! The kids were always so happy to be there and it is a welcomed distraction from playing at home. Elle at her age always always has at least one friend there if not a whole group of them! We had some half days of school in there too and Walker continues PDO in May and through out the summer! So here is a this and that post of the first couple weeks of summer and the last week of school!

Walker had a Pete the Cat unit one week at school and couldn't wait to bring his craft home on Friday. He was smiling so big! Of course I had to take a picture!
I am laughing at this picture because it is late June when I am writing this and the kids looks so pale and dark headed in this picture! They have gotten their summer tans and their hair
has lightened up now!
Elle had one of her besties Audrey Caroline to spend the night. They had a really good time!
The next morning we hit up the pool of course and
they helped each other with their sun screen application.
Tired red eye babies after a long day at the pool!
End of the year party at school! Praying these sweet friends are in the same class next year.
They have been together the last two years!

I broke the rules and took Walker to this party because I didn't feel like getting a sitter.
Last day pictures with our beloved teachers.

Margaret and Bailey came to hang at the pool one morning and
Bailey was popular with all the little girls!
Elle went to Bingo one night with Audrey Caroline's family. Her friend Cate came too! She didn't come home until late that night and when she did she was already begging for a play date with the girls. So we made it happen in the afternoon of the next day! We made a quick run to Dairy Queen at the girls requests!

Another fun day at the pool with lots of friends!

One day we got to the pool and walked in right behind the famous Women's State basketball plater Blair Schaefer! The girls were freaking out and begged me to get their picture with her! She was so sweet and obliged!
Doing some reading in their down time at the pool.
Showered and clean before their sleepover with Daddy. This was the first time for Walker to participate and they were so excited! They had dinner already so I just made them chocolate chip cookies which they ate warm and they watched Harry and the Hendersons! They were so tired from a day at the pool they actually all slept pretty well!
First summer sleepover with Daddy!

We spent Memorial Day at the pool of course along with the rest of the town and lots of friends! It was a great day!
Walker and Grace enjoying ice cream treats together!

The next week Kenny signed Elle up for golf camp! It was an hour each morning. We weren't sure how much she would like it but she ended up loving it and showed a lot of natural talent! She garnered lots of compliments from the pro and other guys working the camp and Kenny was so proud of her! She plans to attend a couple more intensive clinics this summer!
Ready for her first day at golf camp! Kenny got her some
new clothes to wear so she would look the part!

Day 2.
A sitter took Walker to the pool one evening and sent me this picture!
Looking the part!

We met up with some friends for dinner one night and took a girl picture before left!
