ROSEMARY BEACH GIRLS TRIP

This past weekend I was able to get away with some friends to Rosemary Beach. Kenny had plans to do play in the men's club championship at the Country Club so Gramma came to help with the kids. We left Thursday morning after I dropped Elle to school. We were going to stay at Margaret's condo in Rosemary Beach which is always so nice and this was my third or fourth to be able to stay there with Margaret. Our other two close friends Laura and Missy came too. And then of course we were so excited because Margaret brought sweet Bailey who is now three months old and is the sweetest and easiest baby. I am sure it helped to have so many extra hands but she was the easiest baby the entire weekend. Only cried when she truly needed something and then she slept the entire time.

We lucked out and got some great weather and lots of time on the beach. We ate lots of yummy food and it was a great and relaxing trip! Kenny played great in the tournament and by Sunday we were happy to all be back together as a family and ready for a new week of school!

Here are some pictures from the weekend!
A little selfie with my girl in drop off line Thursday morning.

Enjoying some cheese fondue with Margaret.

Margaret had this tent for Bailey and with a fan blowing on her she stayed nice and cool.
Bailey looks so sweet in this little pajama set that was Walkers. Makes me want to cry!

Bailey enjoyed her new swimsuit and looked very cute.
We stopped to do a little shopping on our way to the pool

The kids had a great weekend with Gramma. Elle went to a super fun play date on Saturday afternoon with her friend Collier and one of our sitters came Sunday and took them to the pool to swim before I got home. Daddy got in lots of snuggles when he was home from playing golf!

2017 SOLAR ECLIPSE

Thought I would do a short post on the solar eclipse of 2017.  I got an email from a friend months before these solar eclipse even started to become a big deal and I kind of just rolled my eyes. But as the eclipse got closer everyone really started talking about it and the news started going nuts.  There was a shortage on the approved glasses so you could look at the sun during the eclipse. This whole eclipse thing was kind of sheer mayhem.  The first solar eclipse in 100 years! The schools sent home a letter and we were all excited that they would be bringing all the kids at school outside to watch it and were providing glasses for them. They also wanted them to dress in bright socks and bright t-shirts. "As bright as the sun." You know I had to take a picture of how cute Elle looked! It was all happening on a Tuesday so Walker was home with me!
Elle dressed as bright as the sun for the 2016 Solar Eclipse.

So our most eclipse moment was around 1:30. And I totally didn't have any glasses but I thought Walker and I could go outside and just check out what was going on outside since it was supposed to get dark. It was really cloudy and had even rained some during the day. I was worried the kids wouldn't be able to see the eclipse at all.  But even though I wasn't supposed to I would glance up through the clouds and could kind of see it all happening. It also got pretty dark and I enjoyed listening to the birds stop chirping. It really did turn out to be cool. As Walker and I were outside my friend Laura who lives a few houses down came out and was looking at the eclipse and she had some glasses. So Walker and I drove down to meet her and peek through her glasses!
Even without glasses I was able to see a little through the clouds. Probably ruined my eyes!

Walker and I had fun playing outside during the eclipse.

After we drove the cart down to use Laura's glasses so Walker could see the eclipse.
I'm not sure he ever looked up though. Guess he will catch the next one!
Selfie wit my friend Laura! Thanks for letting us use the glasses!

When I picked Elle up from school I couldn't wait to hear how her day had gone and what she thought of the eclipse! She was so excited to tell me about it and really enjoyed watching it with her school. She was excited to show us her glasses and they also had bead bracelets that changed colors in the sun! It was really fun day!
So excited to show off her bracelet!
Made her recreate the moment of watching the eclipse.
Sporting her cool NASA approved glasses.

And Kenny took part in the eclipse too! He was on the road working and doing his thing seeing accounts. But one of his accounts had some glasses and he was able to see the eclipse some then and also while he was on the road. All in all it turned out to be super fun and super cool! In quite a few years Mississippi will be in total totality and we figured out that Elle and Walker will have children of their own them! I can only hope we get to all see together!

RODEO ROUND UP 2017

We had a great Saturday this weekend. Kenny played a round of gold with some friends and I decided last mintue to take the kids to the pool for a few hours. I checked with our friends to make sure Elle's good friend Audrey Caroline would be there so she would be entertained and we played and relaxed and had lunch at the pool before we came home to shower, nap and rest.

Counting down the last days of summer and the pool will close soon.
Enjoying some lunch before getting back to swimming.

Then it was time for Rodeo Round Up! Elle and Kenny went to Rodeo Round Up last year while I was out of town and Walker was still small so we got a sitter. This year I was sponsorship chair for the event so I worked hard on the front end to secure money to cover expenses so the event would be a success and then had to work at the actual event some too. Elle was pumped to run around with all her friends and do all the super fun things at the rodeo. They have lots of jumpies, horseback rides, mechanical bull, rock climbing wall and the arial bounce things to along with concessions, a silent auction and a bake sale! It raises lots of money for the school and is a super fun events for families. This year Walker was able to come too and it took him a little while to warm up, by the end of it he was enjoying the jumpies and slides and had a great time too! He especially love the choo choo train and rode it several times! We were all worn out when we got home but it was a great afternoon!
