WALKER TURNS 4!

I seriously cannot believe my baby is four. How did the time fly by so fast. He is just our entire world along with Elle and makes us laugh so much. He wasn't the easiest 3 year old but every day that he got closer to 4 we started to get a more reasonable and fun little boy! At least we knew 3 would be hard because of Elle. This was the first year that he fully understood his birthday and what a big deal it was. So we made sure to do it big for him. He counted down the days and was super excited when Kenny's birthday was over with because then he knew his was next!

The morning of his birthday I got up and went to the gym and then went to Shipley's to get donuts for everyone to have for breakfast and then for Walker to take to his class for his birthday treat at school. He was excited to blow out his candle for the first time that day and then couldn't wait to go to school to see his friends.

He had a great day at school and that afternoon we waited for Gramma and CeCe to get into town so we could celebrate as a family. We ordered pizza and Kenny had picked up a cake in Jackson. We layed out all his presents from all of us and we had a big time opening so many fun things he was excited about. One of the presents he was most excited about was actually a last minute Amazon order. He recently started loving this show on Netflix called Super Monsters and I got him a set of those and their school bus. Elle was just as excited as he was and they have been playing with the set non stop. He also loved the dinosaurs he got from CeCe and this sweet bedtime Marshall he got from Gramma that sings a little lullaby.  After presents we blew out candles for the second time that day and tucked our birthday boy into bed. He was excited for his party the next day!
Ready to open his presents!

All looking a little tired because it was the end of the week but family picture on our boy's big day!

Walker was also super excited for his new power ranger outfit. He had been wanting one really bad! He especially loves the mask.

On Saturday we made a big breakfast and got ready and got to the Country Club about an hour and a half before Walker's party started. After a very very rainy week we lucked out and the sun came out on Saturday but the temperature also dropped and it was really cold but the party was mid day and only an hour and a half so I wasn't too worried. Walker and I arrived on dinosaurs for the theme of his party a couple of months ago and despite trying to change the theme a couple times I think he was really happy with it and I was too! He thought his cake was really awesome and we  had a dinosaur jumpy for the kids to jump on and a dinosaur piñata for them to bust open that I had filled to the brim with candy and it was a very simple party. But all of his besties were there and his family and it was a great day celebrating him.
His amazing cake! The lady I found through a friend really knocked it out of the park!

Watching me try and cut the cake. I loathe cutting a cake. It makes me nervous.

Elle had friends there too and they had lots of fun!

Happy to hand out his favors to all his friends.

Once we got home we opened presents and watched Mississippi State play Alabama. As expected it wasn't a great game for us and we lost but it didn't dampen our spirits. We ordered wings from Dave's and just hung out and relaxed and let the kids play with all of Walker's new birthday presents.
Walker and Elle were so sweet to each other and they opened most of the presents together.

MSU HOMECOMING

This weekend was homecoming at Mississippi State. We chose to have a very low key tailgate by ordering Jimmy Johns and bringing lots of chips and cookies from the store. We hung at hope that morning and just got things done around the house. We went to the tailgate around 2 and the weather was nice so the kids played and there were some good football games on tv.  Just a very laid back day. Elle asked her friend Mary Kenway to sit with us at the game and we went in right at kick off. We were playing LA Tech and took an early lead so once we watched the Homecoming Court come out we just left the game and went back to the tailgate to gather our things and go home. Thankfully not too late of a night. Mississippi State won big. 45-3.

Family picture right when we got to the tailgate. Always try and get it out of the way.
Elle always loves getting some Bailey snuggles.
And I got some sweet Walker cuddles.

Watching the band come by.
Headed into the game sporting their noise headsets.

Walker and Kenny ended up moving one row down since we had Mary Kenway with us.
They were having a big time!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We have all had the crud and Elle has actually missed two days of school this week. On Tuesday she had a fever so I took all of us to the doctor to get checked out.  And basically they said we have the crud. They did test Elle for mono and I was really surprised to find out she didn't have it. They gave us some meds to treat the symptoms and sent us on their way. We spent that day resting.

Biding our time at the doctors office with some screen time.
When we got home we rested and watched a Halloween special on Wicked that Elle loved!
She has watched it several times since then!
I made a popcorn mix for Elle's class party and Walker begged to bring some to his
friends so we made up some treat bags for him to pass out.
The kids enjoyed painting these Frankenstein crafts that I had picked up somewhere!

The day of Halloween Elle felt better and went to school. I was happy that she wouldn't miss her Halloween party and of course be able to Trick or Treat. Walker was so excited for the entire day in general. He was super pumped for his class party and to hand out his treats and was looking forward to Trick or Treating.

That smile. Ready to hand out his treats.
We picked Grace up that morning and they were both so cute in their gingham I had to take a picture!
Walker enjoying his class party at PDO.

I was able to make it Elle's party that afternoon. She enjoyed it and
is always happy because she gets to leave a little early with me.

That afternoon we rested for Trick or Treating. I made a big pot of white chicken chili and helped the kids get into their costumes. Elles green face paint went much quicker this time and we chose not to do her hands because we didn't want the green paint getting everywhere. Once we were ready we went over to Craig and Ava's for an early stop before trick or treating actually started.
Walking over to Craig and Ava's.

Lacey and Ava had Winnie dressed as a UPS man and it was so cute!
When we got back to the house some friends of Elle's had stopped by.
Piper and Aubree were Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Audrey Caroline was Aubrey Hepburn.

Keeping with our annual tradition Jay and Margaret brought Bailey over to trick or treat with us and eat dinner afterwards. Elle loves Bailey so much and was so happy to have her. Margaret and Jay were excited to take Bailey to some houses to trick or treat!
Bailey was not feeling a group pic.
Selfie on the golf cart.
Walking up to the spooky house in our neighborhood that really goes over the top decorating.
Walker ran into Grace!
More friends while Trick or Treating! Ann Carlton and Cathryn.

After a while I came home to hand out our candy because I enjoy it and Bailey was happier riding on the cart. Kenny took the kids and they hit lots of houses and when they were worn out came home to finish handing out candy. Elle and Walker really liked doing that too.

It was a great Halloween season and I am worn out! Happy to move into November!
