FPC FALL FESTIVAL

This October has been a little different in that we haven't done a couple of our normal traditions for various reasons. For instance we waited to go to the pumpkin patch until it wasn't so blazing hot and it never really ever got cool enough for us to go and then Kenny went to market and then time just got away from us. And then last week we were unable to go to Trick or Treat on the Row which I am so so so sad about. We have gone every year but this year Elle had a birthday party for one of her closest friends that she couldn't miss so I was just going to take Walker. But then the weather was terrible and they moved it to the stadium and it wasn't even on sorority row and it was really chilly that evening so I ultimately decided not to go. I am saying all this because on Sunday we had our church's Fall Festival and this was the first time that the kids got to wear their costumes.

Both of them have known what they wanted to be this Halloween for almost a full year. Elle decided on Elphaba after seeing Wicked last year and Walker wanted to be Catboy from PJ Masks. They were very excited about their costumes and we were excited for them!

Elle was all in and wanted to be painted green which was quite the undertaking and thankfully we were both eager to get started and started early because we needed some extra time. I have a whole new respect for those make up people doing the green make up every day! But it was really fun and we were both happy with the finished product and she was super excited for her friends to see her! Then right before we left for the festival we found out her friend Ella had decided to go as Glinda as the last minute. So that was really fun! Walker was loving his Catboy outfit and saw lots of his friends at the festival. We rode the hay ride and both kids won something in the cake walk. Walker got his face painted which I couldn't believe! He normally never lets anyone paint his face! And then they had the costume parade and Elle won in the scariest category! I know she wasn't scary but the others were like "cutest" and "best baby" so she was so happy with the win and we were happy for her! We all ate chili and hotdogs before hitting up the trunk or treat cars and going home for quick showers and bed. Always a fun night.
The before but still in character.
Now she is green and feeling truly "wicked."

My little Catboy from PJ Masks and his Gecko accomplice!
He was doing a move or trick here.

Elle with her friend Collier who was Lucille Ball from the chocolate episode.
She comes up with the craziest things sometimes!

Glenda and Elphaba and Ann from The Greatest Showman!
They came up with this pose on their own. They were copying the poster from Wicked.

I walked with Walker during the parade.
Bailey won for best baby or cutest or something and she was not happy at all about standing up there! I love this picture so much because Elle is so happy and Bailey is so mad.

And of course we had to get a picture with sweet Grace!

MISSISSIPPI STATE VS. TEXAS A&M

This past weekend we played Texas A&M. We were just coming off a big loss at LSU so we didn't have a whole lot of hope as far as the game went but we were super pumped for the game because the Bairds were coming in to town for a visit and the weather was finally supposed to be really nice and cool!

We spent the morning at home just hanging out and resting since we stayed late at the Cooks at the night before and waited for the Bairds to arrive. Elle was so happy to see Lizzie again and Will brought a long a friend for the trip. He has grown up so much! So once we got the car loaded with all the things and headed to campus for a beautiful day of tailgating. Everyone brought lots of good food and BJ made a really yummy cocktail for the group. The kids had so much fun running all around.

Soon enough it was time to go in the game. Because of the way our tickets are we had to split up boys and girls so Mollie and Lizzie sat with me and Elle and Wilson and his boys sat with Kenny and Walker. The game ended up being really good and the Bulldogs actually showed up and won! It was a big win since we are no longer ranked and Texas A&M were 18. After our win we are now ranked 21! So yay for being back on the list! After the game we went home and pulled all the food out of the fridge and just hung out. The kids went to bed super late but in good spirits. Poor Walker fell asleep on the counter hanging out with us and eating pizza at like 11.. One minute he was up laughing and the next he was out.

Sunday morning I made a big breakfast before the Bairds went back to Memphis. Then we rested and lazed around so we could get ready and go to our church's Fall Festival. That will be its own post!
Mary Kenway and Elle.
The Walters tailgated with us again and we are always happy to have them!

Grace and Walker were so sweet to each other that game day.

Might be one of my favorite pictures of Grace and Walker ever.
Then maybe one of my favorite pictures of Walker ever! Of course Missy took it!
Forever friends! Love seeing their friendship grow over time!

Holden is always so sweet to Walker. They played football for a little while.
Headed into the game! The teenagers didn't want to stop
and take a picture so Kenny just grabbed them up!
Kenny and I were sending selfies back and forth from our different seats.

Walker had a big time with Wilson and Kenny!

Happy with some popcorn!

Hanging at the tailgate for a little bit after the game! Happy with the win!
Worn out after a long day of football!
