OCTOBER COMES TO AN END AND A COOKIE PARTY!

On Friday my friend Missy and I hosted a Halloween Cookie Decorating party for our girls and all their friends in first grade. Our friend Sarah owns a business called Didi's Fancy Cookies and she does the most amazing cookies. I have used her many times for party favors for birthday parties and other things. So she was providing all the cookies and decorating supplies because Missy and I had both separately bid on a party package from her and won it at an auction! She thought of everything and made it such an enjoyable party that was so easy for Missy and I to throw for the girls. We had it in the bottom room at the local coffee shop and catered some food from there that was age appropriate. The party was short and quick. Once the girls arrived we set them off decorating their cookies and then once they were done they made themselves a plate so they could eat. Then we gathered them all together for a group picture in their witch hats which they got to take home as a party favor along with their masterpiece cookies! It was such a fun night and I was also so glad that Kenny and Walker were able to join us too. Walker had the best time too.
Missy bought the girls matching Halloween dresses since they were technically the hostesses.
Trying on our witch hat favors before we got in the car.

Walker and the kitty got involved too.

All ready for some little girls to decorate.

Sarah brought some of her cookies for the guests to enjoy too.

Diligently working on their cookies.

Silly shot.
This picture makes me laugh because this is a face that Walker makes all the time.
All hyped up on sugar!

Saturday morning I got up super early and drove to Memphis to meet up with my mom. We did some shopping and hung out with my sister some. Then that night we went to eat at one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis, the Majestic. Then we went to see An American In Paris. I knew nothing about it all. It is centered around the dance numbers and I would really consider it a ballet more than anything. But I really enjoyed it and I was glad that my mom invited me to go.
Waiting for the show to start!

While I was gone Kenny spent lots of quality time with the kids. They watched Halloween movies and went over to Missy and Jack's to watch the State game. Sunday morning they had a lazy morning and carved pumpkins that turned out so cute. I got home early afternoon and we all got ready to go to the church Fall Festival. Another separate post on that.
Cleaning out the guts of the pumpkins.

All drawn and ready to carve.
Finished product all aglow.
