ELLE'S BALLET RECITAL 2018

Friday night Elle had her dance recital dress rehearsal. Mrs. Ann came in town that afternoon and was able to keep Walker thankfully because her rehearsal time didn't start until 7! Which for Elle is late to be starting an activity. She yawned on the way there. Kenny and I always enjoy being able to go to the dress rehearsal though because it is laid back and we are able to take lots of videos and pictures which means that we can just sit and watch during the actual recital and enjoy the show. This year all the classes were doing a ballet dance and a tap dance. I loved both of Elle's dances so much. After four years they did some true dance moves. Their tap dance was still probably my favorite though!

Sweet friends and tap dance partners.

Peeking in on some of the other classes doing their rehearsal.
Mrs. Evelyn, their teacher talking them through the dance before they started.
Getting ready to start their tap dance.

Saturday morning CeCe and Nannee got into town and we all just kind of hung out until it was time to get Elle ready for the recital which was at 2. Getting Elle ready for recital used to make me nervous and take a lot longer but I am a total veteran these days and it didn't take long before she was in ballerina mode. We had some extra time so we took some family pictures before we left the house. I am glad we were able to do that because Walker was able to be included and also made afterwards at the recital less stressful.

Ready for the big performance.
Waiting to go backstage.
Quick picture with my sweet girl before she went backstage.
Giving Elle her flowers after the performance.

After the recital we came home to get Walker who stayed home with a sitter because he couldn't sit through the show just yet and we all went to hibachi/watch the man cook.  We go there for dinner every year after recital. We had a good time and came home to eat dessert from Jody's Bakery that CeCe brought up from Hattiesburg.
