So this Disney trip has been in the works for over a year. Elle has never been and we chose to let Walker hang in Fairhope for some quality time with his grandparents since he is still small and their age difference is large enough to completely change the trip. We plan to take him at the same age in a couple of years. We kept it a total secret from Elle and she thought we were just traveling to Fairhope to visit Gramma and PopPop. I managed to pack all of us for a major week long trip without Elle noticing! It was quite the task! We knew we were going to miss Walker so much and were sad he wasn't coming with us so we told Elle we were taking her on a breakfast date on Saturday morning so we could just tell him goodbye without knowing that we were leaving for a while. So Elle got in the car thinking we were going to breakfast and when we got down the road a little bit we had these Mickey ears that a friend had loaned us and we put them on and she was confused and we told her! Surprise! We are going to Disney! She was so happy! A little overwhelmed but soooooo happy!
We did go enjoy a breakfast at Broken Egg Cafe and we told her all about the trip we had planned! We planned to to take our time driving over to Orlando that day and then had our first day in the parks on Sunday at Epcot!

We stopped in Tallahassee for lunch.
We hit some traffic getting into Orlando and were anxious to get somewhere where we could watch this big State vs. Alabama game that we were missing back home. We couldn't check into our resort until the next day so Kenny booked us a room at the Waldorf Astoria on Disney's property and it was so nice! The bar had the game on and we enjoyed a cocktail and watched State play awesome against Alabama before we went back to our room and ordered room service and finished watching the game!

So Sunday morning we woke up early and drove over to the Wilderness Lodge where we stayed for the week. We unloaded all of our luggage which they were so nice to store for us until our room was ready that afternoon and we were given a tour of the part of the hotel we were staying in. Then we were off too Epcot!
We worked with a planner for the trip so we had a basic itinerary each day and I used the app lots to get fast passes and figure out what we should do next. We rode everything at Epcot and did some things twice. I am glad we started off at Epcot because it is more of a simpler park that may of paled in comparison to some of the others but we still had lots of fun because it was our first day and we were excited to be there. This day was the worst weather we had the whole trip and it was just cloudy and occasionally sprinkled but it wasn't cold and it was tolerable. The rest of the week our weather was complete perfection! Epcot was also the day that we met a ton of characters since we had the extra time to do that. It was also where we stood in line the longest amount of time the entire week. Since we had a fast pass to Frozen in the late afternoon we weren't able to get one for Soarin and that ride we decided it was worth it to stand in the line. It was totally worth it! It was by far our favorite ride and we loved it so much that we stood in a shorter line to do it one more time before we had dinner at Coral Reef that night. We enjoyed that dinner because it has a huge aquarium in it and we enjoyed the food, being able to sit down and watch the fish! It was a perfect ending to the day!

Our first ride was what we called "the golf ball ride." We walked straight on when we got into the park. Elle loved it and the games you can play afterwards in the exit area. We came back and rode it again in the afternoon!
