HALLOWEEN 2017

It is November 1 and we have crossed the October and Halloween finish line! Whew Lordy! It was all so much fun and so many memories made but this mama is tired! Yesterday was the final hoorah and we had a wonderful time celebrating the actual Halloween Day. I was able to attend Elle's class party and I brought a little sticker craft for them as the the class room mom. It was nice to see Elle and her friends in their school environment and also get to lighten up and have some fun. First grade is so serious! After the party was over I was able to check Elle out and bring her home early!

When we got home we played and I made the white chili for our dinner after we trick or treated and Daddy carved one last pumpkin. Jay and Margaret got to the house with Bailey and we got the kids ready in their costumes one last time. Elle and I are pros at washing that pink and purple out of her hair now!

We got Jay and Margaret all set up with our candy bowls and a strict rule of one piece of candy per kid because we get so many trick or treaters! Walker wasn't so sure about trick or treating last year until after the fact when he realized that he missed out on a major opportunity to score some sugar. This year he was pumped and so all about it! We had to empty his bucket out half way through because it was so full and it was too heavy.  He had so much fun! Elle had a great time too running from house to house and seeing all her friends but she was also so sweet with helping Walker. We still ran out of candy by 7:15 and trick or treating wasn't over until 8! So we got home and turned off all the lights and closed the windows and we still had people knocking on our door! After we got home we all had the chili I made and the kids ate some candy. Elle got a quick shower and were able to do some major loving on Bailey before the Cooks went home. It turned out to be a pretty late night considering it was a school night but the kids were so happy and we all had a great time! There was talk that Bailey would be trick or treating with us next year so we will have to find some new friends to hand out our candy!

Elle and Audrey Caroline at her class party.
Elle made a sweet card for the Cooks to go along with some rattles we got for Bailey.
She even drew a picture of them in their Halloween costumes!
Elle was such a big girl and held Bailey for the pictures.
Getting ready to Trick or Treat!

The Cooks with Bailey all ready to hand out our candy and see lots of friends in our neighborhood!

Of course we got a family picture together before we left!
We stopped by the Reeds first because they always have a special Halloween treat for the kids. They got them these yummy caramel apples from a candy store. They were so good.
Hittin the streets!
We have a house that likes to do spooky decorations and the kids loved it!
Grace and Ann Carlton stopped by to see everyone!

Abigail and Emily and Elle. She got on their cart and went with them a
little while to some houses because Walker and Kenny and me were all pretty done!
Loving on Bailey when they were getting ready to leave!
