BUSY CHRISTMAS SEASON

More Christmas fun! This post is a miss mash of different things we did to enjoy the season. We planned to go to Memphis which has been a tradition for us for years but Walker ended up getting a short lived stomach bug so we were unable to go. We were super sad we missed the visit with Nanee and continuing the tradition but we can pick up where we left off next year!

One night we went to a family Advent night at church. It was a great time and with Walker getting older we are enjoying being able to do more things at night on school nights. They had dinner and dessert and tons of different Christmas crafts that you can do to the home and then they read the Christmas story from the bible.  Elle did a few crafts but mostly enjoyed playing and hanging out with her friends. But Walker got super into it. I thin he did every single craft they had to offer and we came home with lots of things he made. My favorite was a little Christmas scene stain glass he painted that looked pretty on our tree. I loved how into it he got!
Enjoying the cookie decoration station.
Listening to the Christmas story.
Working on a craft together.

Walker was happy to see his friends there too!

The Tuesday before school let out for break second grade at Elle's school took a field trip to two of the nursing homes to sing Christmas carols and then they all went to Lost Pizza for lunch before going back to school. Elle seemed to really enjoy it. She was a little sad and so was I that I wasn't able to meet them at the pizza restaurant but I had Walker that morning and they have a strict no sibling policy. Plus some of Walker's friends ended up getting together that morning so it all worked out for the best. Luckily people that were on the field trip sent me some super sweet pictures!

Like I said while Elle was blessing everyone at the nursing home with her carols Walker and I met up with some of his good friends and their moms for a Christmas story time at the library and then went to Chick Fil A for lunch and to play. We had such a good time and Walker was so happy to have a good playdate!
The librarian gave all the kids a Santa hat and Walker wore that thing for days!

Lunch time!

Both kids had class parties on their last days of school. Of course they enjoyed them. Elle's class did a gift exchange and she was happy with what she got. I was able to come to her party and she was happy I was there!
Walker excited for his class party! They got to wear pajamas and looked so sweet.

Elle had just eaten some blue sucker before I got there so her teeth were blue in all the pictures!
Loved her lip gloss kit.

Elle spent the night out with a friend and we took Walker to a basketball game.
We ended up sitting next to his sweet friend Davis and they had the best time together!
