SUMMER BREAK WINDING DOWN

We had a great weekend in Birmingham this past weekend but before I do a couple posts on that I wanted to do a this and that post of a few of our summer days.  We are in the last days.  School starts in less than a week.  We had Walker's meet the teacher last Tuesday and he actually started his new PDO close Wednesday so Elle and I have been running lots of errands together and enjoying our one on one time.  I forget sometimes what it was like to just have her! Kenny was also gone to market for a week and Gramma came in town for the weekend to help out! So here we go!

One morning I had to pop in our local Biscuit Lady's shop about a sponsorship for our schools fundraiser so of course we had to enjoy some biscuits!
Elle was styling that morning! She had on half of her jewelry plus a purse!
Being sweet and reading together.
Gramma arrived and brought gifts.
Walker getting some cuddles from Gramma.

Gramma took Elle out for a day out on the town on of the days she was here! They went to Chick Fil A for lunch and then to see Finding Dory and then wrapped up the day with a little shopping.  They had lots of fun!
Enjoying some ice cream!
Walker in his high chair eating up his food!
More cuddles.

On Saturday morning I worked an early Stuff the Bus shift to collect school supplies for our local schools and then came back home to grab the kids and take them to a birthday party at the candy shop  for one of my friends little girls'.
Handing out school supply lots at Walmart.
Elle and Walker enjoying the party food!
Cheesing with my boy.
Walker looked as sweet as the candy that day so of course I snapped some pictures!

When we got home I put Walker down for a nap and Gramma and Elle played nail shop.  It was so sweet.  Mrs. Ann let her soak her feet and then painted her nails and toe nails after giving her a pedicure all while Elle watched a movie.  She was in heaven!
Soaking her feet and getting ready for her pedicure.

We've been making a point to go to the pool as much as possible and its always better if our friends are there! Many fun afternoons!
Cate, Violet and Elle having ice cream during pool break!
Waiting to get back in!
Walker holding his "babies" and ready for bed.
Playing outside.

My friend Kelly who lives right up the street invited Elle over for a playdate and they had their own blow up slide and had a matching bathing suit for Elle to borrow.  She literally stayed all day.  Had to drag her home!

Doing some reading.

One morning Elle went grocery shopping with and she brought her baby doll along and her baby's Diaper bag.  Then they had the cutest little baby carriers at Kroger so we swiped up on of those while we were there.  Everyone was talking about what a sweet mama Elle was at the store.
Being a sweet mommy and doing some grocery shopping.

DADDY ON A JET PLANE

So Kenny left for market and since he was flying out of the local airport we were able to drive him there and hang out with him and then watch his airplane leave.  I love this little airport because it is tiny and not very many people so we were able to wait until the last minute for him to go through security and watch him when they scanned his stuff.  Elle thought the X-ray machine was super cool. Then once he was through security we were able to watch him board the plane and then watch the plane take off.  It was kind of sad at times because Walker didn't understand where he was going and Elle of course was sad.  But it was still fun to be able to see him off so personally and also killed time during our afternoon.
When we got there Kenny hit up the vending machines
and got them gatorade and cookies.  Spoiled rotten!
Loving on Daddy!
Being cute and just playing around.

Kisses!
Final hugs before Daddy went through security.
Watching Daddy walk to the plane.  Walker was yelling "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"

After he got on the plane he was on our side so we were able to wave at him and then watch him fly into the sky.

FAMILY TIME BEFORE MARKET

The week before market Kenny tries to stay close to home and we focus on spending time together as a family. It is so incredibly hot right now and as I've mentioned Walker is a little over the pool.  So we tried to come up with some other things to do! We managed to find some things to do and Kenny and I also had a date night to go to see Ghostbusters and then we also got out with a group of friends one night to celebrate Margaret's birthday. It was a fun night and a fun week spent together with our kids.  Here are a few pictures from the week!

Starkville has a new ice cream place called Churn and Spoon and I/we are big fans! We are so excited anytime a new fun place comes and we were excited to try it out.  It did not disappoint! Although, Walker insisted on getting a cookie at the ice cream shop!
Elle eating her ice cream.  It was called Netflicks and Chill.  It had popcorn and M&Ms in it.
Elle was excited about her ice cream!
Cheesing with my boy and his cookie!
Cheese grins and chocolate!

Elle had her close friend Abigail over to play one day and they enjoyed a popsicle together.
Elle pretended to give me a manicure and pedicure one day.
She's had enough of them herself that she is actually a good imitator of this.
Hanging with my sweet boy.

Walker was wearing this little back pack one morning and it was making me laugh.

We took the kids to check out books at the library and then to the paint a piece pottery place.  We tried to let Walker paint but he tried to paint his face and his hair and then tried to eat it so we ended up letting him play with the brushes and eat a snack.  I also had the people there paint his hand and Elle's hand to make two tiles with their hand prints on them. Which worked out because I was trying to keep Walker busy so all I could mange to paint was two solid tiles.  Kenny painted a mug and was his normal meticulous pottery painting self. Elle painted a unicorn and had lots of fun.
Right at the beginning when we gave Walker the paint brush.

Taking his time.
Painting my tiles.
The owners dog was in the shop and that helped keep Walker entertained.
My two tiles with my two sweet handprints.

This picture is when Kenny took Elle with him to get his allergy shot and then to run errands.  They were in the waiting room but she was so sweet to Kenny when he was getting his shot.  Whispered in his ear that it was going to be okay.
